Thunderstorms and lightning have long been thought to be a mechanism, spiritually or
literally, responsible for transforming the environment physically or metaphysically. Generative AI gave
me the
tool to explore these possibilities in ways, without compromise, that limitations in other illustrative
techniques would have imposed. In each illustration, I combine the elements
- the foreground, the sky, the objects emanating from the
clouds, and other details generated in separate "generative AI" sessions - using masking and
layering techniques fusing the elements as a composite that completes the seamless illustration.
I use additional digital graphic tools and effects, including, but not limited to color editing,
blending
and tweaking of selected areas with generative AI.
